Exhibition Reflection

Before we started Exhibition I thought it was a project that was assigned to us by my teacher (Mrs.Hicks). But now that we’ve dissected the Theme of Exhibition Who We Are.

First we dissected the descriptor The Nature of the Self and I learned that when some Music Artists like Kesha, Beyonce, and Katy Perry create songs, they sometimes have to do with people believing and finding the true meaning of themselves.

After the first descriptor we moved onto the second descriptor which was Beliefs and Values. We got into groups and discussed what our individual Beliefs and Values were then we made videos out of our discussions. For this Descriptor I learned that we all have different beliefs and Values but that’s normal.

The next Descriptor was about Personal, Physical, Mental, Social, and Spiritual health. During this discussion we created concept Maps about the different health’s. When we discussed them I noticed that we all believe in different things and all have certain points of views about things.

Then, we started to talk about what Family, Communities, and Friend are and mean to you. For this descriptor we decided to create a product on Family, Communities, and Friends. I created a Blog (www.samerialwhoweare.blogspot.com) and uploaded pictures. In this activity I learned that everyone thinks of things different, but overall they can possibly come out with the same outcomes of something’s.

When we made it to the middle of Exhibition, We looked back at our Artifact Bags and started to think about Cultures. For this activity we brought in items that represented our Cultures such as foods, clothing and musical items. I brought a Bible that came from my Great Grandparents and other Items. While doing this activity, I learned that some people might have the same ethnic background and might not even know it.

Over all I learned a lot about Exhibition and I think that it’s going to come out to be a big Surprise. But I do think that everyone is going to put forth their full effort to help make it how it’s supposed to be.
